Essen Motor Show: Nov. 30 to Dec. 8, 2013

USPA NEWS - The 46th edition of the Essen Motor Show had a special dedicated special hall for the 30th anniversary of the DTM interantional touring car series. The Deustche Tourenwagen Masters was founded in 1984.

ESSEN, GERMANY (30/11/13 to 8/12/13): The 46th edition of the Essen Motor Show was highlighted by more than 500 exhibitors and more than 350,000 visitors at the Messe Essen GmbH. The show is the annual location of the largerst tuning car exhibition in Europe. A large number of manufacturers used the show for their innovations: Opel, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, Citroen, Renault, Kia and Ford. Also, Bridgestone, the world's largest tyre manufacturer will also be at the show for the first time in 2013. The show will also feature a special hall to honour the 30th anniversary of the DTM (Deustche Tourenwagen Masters) which was founded in 1984. The show will look back at the 2013 DTM season with winner, Mr. Mike Rockenfeller from the Audi RS5 DTM factory driver. Also, present is the five-time DTM winner, Mr. Bernd Schneider. Also present at the opening press conference was the very first overall DTM winner: Mr. Volker Stryker and previous DTM winner: Mr. Eric Van de Poole. (All photographs and text by: Rene L.
