« France will continue to work with determination in favor of a strong, united and sovereign Europe. » Jean Yves Le Drian, french Minister fo Foreign Affairs and Clement Beaune Secretary of European Affairs, after the Brexit Deal Done, was freshly announced by the European and British leaders, The Presidents of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, Charles Michels, President of the European Council, David Sassoli, President of the European Parliament, have announced the Brexit Deal, finally agreed on Thursday 24 December 2020, Christmas night. « We have, finally, found an agreement. “It was a long and winding road. But we have got a good deal to show for it. It is fair and balanced. And it is the right and responsible thing to do for both sides. » Ursula von der Leyen, stated. From the French side, the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Clement Beaune declared « After several months of difficult and sometimes tense discussions, the European Commission, which was negotiating on behalf of the European Union, and the United Kingdom reached an agreement today.
