OECD, will celebrate its 60th anniversary, on Tuesday 25th of October, at the Headquarters, located in Paris, under the slogan « together for a Dynamic solidarity and green development », a strong motto, highlighted by OECD. Emerging and developing countries face increasing uncertainty and complexity as the world grapples with the growing effects of climate change, major international war, global inflation, food security crisis and the remnants of COVID pandemic. Inequalities are growing, both within and between countries, and the world's most vulnerable communities are being hit hard. At the same time, the international system is fracturing: frustration with the dynamics of multilateralism is growing in both developing and developed countries. In this context, international institutions such as the OECD Development Centre, founded on the initiative of President Kennedy on 23 October 1962, are essential to facilitate the search for common and innovative solutions to these challenges. On October 24-25, 2022, policymakers from 53 member countries, around the world and at different income levels, will gather for the 8th High-Level Meeting of the Governing Board of the OECD Development Centre, devoted on the theme "Together for a dynamic, united, green development". Sharing ideas and experiences, meetings between renowned experts in sustainable development and definition of political priorities for the international development community are on the agenda for these two days. » Source: OECD
