Nigeria: In commemoration of the United Nations 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and girls, students have been urged against engaging themselves in premarital sex cum disassociating themselves from violence-related activities, as such could endanger their lives and ruin their chances of becoming responsible adults.

Nigeria: In commemoration of the United Nations 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and girls, students have been urged against engaging themselves in premarital sex cum disassociating themselves from violence-related activities, as such could endanger their lives and ruin their chances of becoming responsible adults.
The assertion was made during the Launch of the Anti-Abortion Campaign and flag-off of the 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls by the Special Monitoring Officials of the International Human Rights Commission (SMM IHRC) held at Ebor Secondary School, Emonu Comprehensive High School, and Aragba Secondary School, all at Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Anti-Abortion Campaign was pioneered by a member of the SMM, Comrade (Dr.) Peter Oloche Anyebe on Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th November 2022 at Ebor, Emonu, and Aragba Secondary Schools, Orogun. The Concept and Consequences of Teenage Pregnancy Amongst Secondary School Students, Unite Against Gender-Based Violence, Abortion and its Complications, and other sexuality education topics were highlights of the sensitization.

Mrs. Eregare Linda Oghale and Erhurhore R.B, Principal and Vice-Principal of Ebor Secondary School; Mrs. Onojeje Grace and Pst. Irivwieri Anthony, Principal, and Vice-Principal of Emonu Comprehensive High School; Mrs. Odjoji Priscillia, Vice-Principal of Aragba Secondary School, all contributed to the paper presentations.
Fidelis Onakpoma, Regional Volunteers Coordinator South-South Region Nigeria, and other IHRC SMM Officials at the event included Peter Oloche Anyebe, Uzama Marvelous, Omoefe Marvelous, Odiri Micheal Moses, and Flourish Chukwunonso Osondu.
It is imperative to note that these schools duly participated in the 2022 United Nations 16 Days of Activism for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls.
