USPA NEWS - Laurent Fabius, future president of the # COP21, met on 6 and 7 September the second informal ministerial consultations to prepare the Paris climate conference, the first to be held on 20 and 21 July. These meetings, which bring together some sixty delegations including forty Ministers.

FRENCH MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS LAURENT FABIUS IS FUTURE PRESIDENT OF COP21-------------------- It is time for the Second informal ministerial consultations in Paris, at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the delegations were welcomed by Minister Fabius.“Laurent Fabius, future president of the COP21, meets on 6 and 7 September the second informal ministerial consultations in preparation for the Paris Conference on climate. Laurent Fabius has decided to hold informal consultations to accompany on a political level, the negotiation process on the main topics under discussion. The first consultations were held on 20 and 21 July and allowed to discuss the general balance of the Agreement, its level of ambition and the degree of differentiation which should be retained to accommodate situations and levels of different development of member states of the UN.------------------------------------------------------------------------ The aim of the consultations of 6 and 7 September, bringing together some sixty delegates including forty Ministers address the important issues of the negotiation, namely: the implementation of the Agreement means: funding, transfers technology and capacity building; adaptation to climate change and the issue of loss and damage..“ Official Statement French Diplomacy
