 THE FRANCOPHONE PARLIMENTARY ASSEMBLY (APF) CONDEMNS THE MASSACRE OF NOTH KIVU----------The Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF) condemns with the utmost firmness the massacre in the night of Saturday 13 to Sunday, August 14 in the territory of Beni, in North Kivu province, where 51 civilians were killed.
 APF sends its sincere condolences to all the families of the victims of this heinous attack and expresses its solidarity with the Congolese people. The APF hopes that the competent authorities shall make every effort to ensure that perpetrators of this heinous act are arrested and brought to justice as soon as possible. The Parliamentary Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, Pascal Terrasse (MP, France), expressed its deep concern at the deteriorating situation in the province of North Kivu. Regrets and strongly condemns the upsurge in violence and violations of human rights in the region and calls on all actors to engage in the path of an open and inclusive dialogue, a key criterion for a calming situation in North Kivu.
